City Services Holiday Schedule

Christmas Holiday

  • City offices, including public libraries and water customer service, will be closed on Monday, Dec. 24, and Tuesday and Dec. 25 in observance of the Christmas holiday. In addition, public libraries will be closed on Saturday, Dec. 22.
  • There will be no garbage, heavy trash, or yard waste collection on Dec. 24 and 25, and the landfill will be closed on those days. Garbage collection will resume on Wednesday, Dec. 26, and the collection schedule will run two days behind for the week.

Beaumont New Year Holiday

  • City offices, including public libraries and water customer service will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 1, in observance of New Year’s Day. There will be no garbage, heavy trash, or yard waste collection that day. and the landfill will be closed.
  • Beginning Wednesday, Jan. 2, the garbage collection schedule will run one day behind.
    *And remember if you live in Beaumont and  have a non-emergency question or anything to report , you can always dial 311

Port Arthur
Port Arthur Public Library

  • Closed December 24 & 25th
  • Closed December 31 & January 1

City of Port Arthur Garbage Services

  • Christmas Day
  • New Years Day

*When any of the above listed holidays fall on a collection day, the collection schedule will shift to the following day. This will result in the last collection day being on the Friday of that holiday week. For instance, there will be no collection Christmas Day (Tuesday); therefore, the regular Tuesday collection day will be moved to Wednesday.

Lumberton Trash Pickup

There is not any trash pickup on Christmas Day, and New Years Day.
*If your service day happens to fall on any of these holidays, your trash will be picked up on the next business day.
