Liberty County Historical Commission Presents “Whispers from the Past”
The Liberty County Historical Commission is sponsoring tours of the Historic Liberty City Cemetery.
This can be a fun outing for active Beaumont seniors, or Southeast Texas seniors, looking for a Halloween activity.
Days: Saturday and Sunday October
Dates: 26 & 27 at
Times: 4:00 PM and 5:30 PM.
“Whispers from the Past” features a guided tour with re-enactors depicting historic figures. Tickets are a $10.00 donation and limited to advance reservations.
If you’re part of an active Beaumont seniors group, this could make a great activity for a Southeast Texas seniors outing.
A little history, a little fun, and little excitement at Halloween.

***Arrive 20 minutes before tour time
***Wear comfortable shoes and clothing
***This is a walking tour and will last about 1 hour
***Be sure you are physically able!
***LCHC, City of Liberty, County of Liberty and/or the Liberty City Cemetery Assn. will not be responsible or liable for any accident or act of negligence during tour
***Reservations and donations must be received by October 18th
Directions to Liberty City Cemetery: The cemetery is located at 800 Bowie Street, near the intersection of Bowie and Grand Avenue; about 4 blocks north of U. S. Highway 90 (turn left by old Lewie’s Grocery). The staging area for the tour will be in the Liberty ISD Parking Lot across the street from the cemetery. Check with the ticket desk upon arrival.
