Neighbors and Concerts – Rogers Park: Saturday, September 8th

Remember when Southeast Texas neighborhoods were places you gathered with your neighbors to have fun and celebrate life- and not just on major holidays?

Beaumont Parks and Recreation does too- and they are doing their part to bring the good times back.

Their next big community event is called “Neighbors and Concerts in the Park” coming up on Saturday, September 8th from 4p until 8p, at Rogers Park (1455 Dowlen Road).

3:30 – 4:30 has been designated “Family Fun” time and will include popcorn and soft drinks while supplies last. This is a great time to bring out a lawn chair, shake the hands of old friends and to introduce yourself to new ones.

Live music starts at 5pm with “Still Cruisin’” and “The Kaiser Brothers”. Both are true local favorites with lots of experience playing throughout the Golden Triangle and learning what we like in Southeast Texas. There are lots of great venues in Southeast Texas to catch live music, but there is something special about listening to live music outdoors on a beautiful summer night.

This is a great opportunity to get out of the house, invite some friends to hang out, and enjoy some of this nice “almost fall” evening weather we’ve been getting.
